Joe was Retained to directly support The Sharper Image Founder Mr. Richard Thalheimer. During this window, Joe fueled a continuous flow of New Proprietary Products via Creative Thinking, driving record Store, Catalog & Internet sales. The Stock value soared!
Some of Joe's Royalty based contributions were the Talking Q-ball (the highest selling Sharper Image Product of that time), all the Robot related products, the Ionic Breeze Electronics, Truth Seeker & the Artistic Signature Cosmic Cyclone.
Joe's extensive unique Technical Depth also added to the Creative process with Prototypes, Electronic Designs & Manufacturing Interfacing/Support.

Joe provided complete Creative Electronic Solutions. Conceived, designed & handcrafted the No Touch 300, the first 300 CD player/management system, sculpted in a visually exciting mechanism.
Joe also created & manufactured his signature Artistic Cosmic Cyclone Electronic Art Series. Continued to supply field support & system training on the below Electronic Safety Control Systems.
1980's - Coen Company > Technical Specialist
Joe designed, programmed & installed some of the first Microprocessor based interactive Flame Safety Controls for the Nations Industry & Utilities, that burn fossil fuels (gas, oil & coal). Burning these fuels as an Energy source, is basically a controlled explosion in a contained environment. There is always a trade off between Safety & Reliability during this process. A 100% Safe system would stop all fuel flow & a 100% Reliable system would just be an uncontrolled flow of fuel. So, the goal is to make a power source Safe & Reliable, at the same time. The greatest concern, is a flow of fuel without any combustion, this will eventually result in an uncontrolled explosion.
Customers included: Arkansas Nuclear, DuPont, GE, International Paper & Wisconsin Electric.
1970's - Lockheed Missiles & Space > Technical Advisor
Joe provided failure diagnosis & directed creative corrective solutions for the first 21 Prototype test firings of the new Trident Missile, armed with multiple independently targetable warheads, for the Nations Submarine launched Nuclear Ballistic Missile program. Joe's work covered the major control packages, all the way down to the microscopic individual components on integrated circuits -
